What happens when celebrity couples split? All too often, the ensuing aftermath leads to below-the-belt jabs, lengthy legal battles, and devastating financial disputes. But when children are involved, the stakes are even higher. Check out this list to see which celebrities pay an outrageous amount of money in monthly child support.
At the height of his career in 2010, Charlie Sheen was the highest paid actor on television, pulling in $1.8 million per episode on Two and a Half Men. Unfortunately, his party-hard lifestyle and subsequent breakdown proved to be his downfall. Sheen was no longer rolling in the dough once he was fired from the hit sitcom in 2011, but his monthly child support payments remained. He was already making monthly payments of $50,000 to Denise Richards for the care of their daughters, Sam and Lola. By 2011, Sheen had split from Brooke Mueller -- wife number three -- and was forced to part with an additional $55,000 a month in child support for their twins, Bob and Max. In recent months, Sheen has been vocal about his inflated payments and has actively been seeking to cut them down significantly.
